SUMMERtime at C_42

After three seasons, dedicated respectively to sustainable innovation, sporting adventure and the design universe of the new Citroën C5, C_42 has been transformed again to offer a new season: C_SUMMER!

The new summer season displays major Citroën models that, over the years, have embodied freedom, recreation and driving pleasure.

In sync with Citroën’s innovative spirit, the Marque’s international showcase offers a stunningly original exhibition space with offbeat displays that showcase the Marque’s most summery vehicles in their natural habitats. Seven vehicles symbolise this summery feel.

First the historical models: the first 2CV, a Type A and a beach version Mehari.
Then the models from the current range. The Berlingo Multispace, a vehicle for all situations, catering to the growing demand for multi-purpose vehicles. The C3 Pluriel, with its unique shape and convertible roof to make the most of summer. The dynamic C2 for driving around town and on holiday getaways. And the C1, a perky city car with a sense of what’s essential in life.
Lastly, the C-Airplay concept car, a bid to return to authentic driving sensations, showing that Citroën always has an eye on the future.
Visitors can find out about all the innovations, anecdotes and history behind these cars at C_42 on video touch screens and the information shown in the new displays.

The exhibition is also a fresh opportunity for Citroën to restate its commitment to catering to the real needs of users.
With the 2CV and the Mehari, Citroën explored new avenues in design (optimising the number of parts, weight, fuel consumption, etc.) to create vehicles that were affordable and focused on the essential values of quality, style, comfort and simple pleasure of using a car.
Today the Marque is restating its essential values to offer a new vision of the automobile adapted to contemporary concerns. For example, there is strong emphasis on the environment, as demonstrated by vehicles like the Citroën C1 with its low CO2 emissions (108 g/km), and the Citroën C2 with the Stop & Start reversible alternator system, which cuts fuel consumption by up to 15% in heavy traffic.
